Son of Michael Lawrence and Margaret Gertrude Moran, of Mile End, South Australia.

Advice has been received by Mrs. M. Moran, of 5 Falcon avenue Mile End. that her son, Flt-Sgt Laurence Dominic Moran, was killed at Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucester. England, on October 30, as the result of an aircraft accident during night training operations as the pilot of a Wellington bomber. Flt-Sgt. Moran, who was the only son of Mrs. Moran and the late Mr. M. L. Moran was born at Mile End, and would have celebrated his 21st birthday in February next. He joined the RAAF in January. 1943. and after preliminary training at various stations in this State, left for overseas in December. 1943. and was, to have completed his training within a day or two of his death. He received his early education at the Dominican Convent, Franklin street, and later at the Christian Brothers' College, Wakefield street and Rostrevor College. Before enlisting he was employed at the Taxation Office in Adelaide. There are six sisters.
