KILLED IN ACTION
AT SINGAPORE
Word has been received that Pte. W. L. Morris, VX64421 2nd 29th Batt., was killed in action on Feb 10, 1942 at Singapore. Pte. Morris was the second son of Mrs B. Morris, of Brinsley Road, Camberwell, and the late Mr. H. I. Morris, of Dunolly.
At enlistment, he was employed by East Malvern branch of the Bank of Autralasia, and for six years before enlistment, was a member of the 24 37th Militia Batallion. Pte. Morris was educated at  Maryborough High School. His two brothers also served overseas, Max with the 26th Batt., AIF, and Stuart with the RAAF.
