Son of Charles Verdon Moule-Probert and Maud Mary Moule-Probert; husband of Nora Gwendoline Moule-Probert, of Griffith, New South Wales.

Mrs. Moule-Probert, Griffith, has been advised b the Army authorities that her husband ,Gnr. John William Moule-Probert, MC., 8th Division died from illness in April last whilst prisoner of war in Borneo.

The late Gnr. Moule-Porbert was in the 8th Hussars (England) in the early part of World War I.  He was captured by the enemy but escaped.  Then he joined the RAF in which he gained the MC.

Twice he enlisted in World War II. First he served with the AIF in the Middle East but was discharged on account of his age.  However he was able to serve again with the 8th Division.

He had a dry holding in the Rankins Springs district and later was in business in Yambil Street.

Besides his widow, two small sons are left.
