Son of Walter Henry and Ada Mary Muston nee Marshall, of Hampton, Victoria, Australia.
LOVED ELDEST SON OF A. & W. MUSTON OF HAMPTON, VIC...IN GOD'S KEEPING
Working as a blacksmith before enlistment, Charles was employed by J W George and Son, Richmond. He was also employed by Coffey Bros, Melbourne Coach Building Firm and worked as a Press-hand for Electolux Ltd.
Charles belonged to the Sandringham Rifle Club and was at one time Treasurer. Club member Cpl Charles John Muston (RAAF)'s parents donated a trophy in his name to the club after he died as a POW in Thailand on 13/7/43.
He was taken prisoner in Java and died of Beri Beri and Malnutrition.
Charles was survived by his parents and sister Frances and brothers Alfred and Arthur.
