Biography contributed by Daryl Jones

News was received recently by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Nairne, of Borambil, of the death on active service of their son, Private Norman John Nairne, A.I.F., in the New Guinea area. Deceased, who was a popular lad, was only 20 years of age, and the sympathy of the district goes out to the bereaved in their hour of sorrow.
