A full Military Funeral was acorded Gordon Radnedge, well-known resident of Molong up till a few years ago, when he left the town to take on commericial life in Sydney. He was forging ahead rapidly when he answered the call of his country and joined the Navy, where he occupied a responsible position in the clerical department. During a week-end leave, he was dismantling the concrete pedestal of a fountain in a fish pond at a home he had purchased since leaving Molong. By some mischance the heavy mass toppled over, falling on Mr. Radnedge and fracturing his hip and pelvis. Notwithstanding these injuries, he was making good progress toward recovery, when a clot developed and his end came very suddenly. He was born at Forbes and was 43 years old at the time of his death. His widow and little daughter are left to mourn the passing of a kind and indulgent husband and father and in addition six brothers and two sisters survive. They are : — Phillip (Molong), Stanley (Kingsford), Ray (Orange), Reg. (Epping), Hilton (Epping), sisters are Mrs. Burnhiem (Manly) and Miss Irene (Manly). Another brother, Arthur, died at Parkes, and Jack, killed in action in the last war.
