H. G. Ray. A.B.. an anti-aircraft gunner on H.M.A.S. Sydney is the son of Mr and Mrs. H. G Ray. Hartley Street. Wickham Terrace. Ray was on the Naval Reserve before the outbreak of war and was called up at the declaration He served on other warships before transferring to the Sydney. He was educated at Milton State School
