Lance Corporal Richard Reston was a member of 13 Platoon, C Company under the then Lieutenant Lindsay, a peacetime CMF Subaltern. Reston was present at Bardia with his Platoon and at the engagement at Wadi Derna where Reston would fall, as would Private Cornish [Died of Wounds]. Lindsay would earn a Mention in Despatches for his actions at Wadi Derna
