Sergeant Riordan 421509 died at sea (in transit to the UK) - he was buried at sea and is commemorated on the Malta Memorial

Buried At Sea
Mrs. V. Riordan, of Lynch’s Creek, has been notified of the death of her son, Sgt. Air Gunner E. J. M. Riordan, of the  R.A.A.F., on February 15. He was buried at sea. Sgt. Riordan had been a resident of Lynch’s Creek all his life and was  the second son of the late Mr. E. Riordan and Mrs. Riordan. A brother, Esca, is a prisoner of war in Italy.
