Son of Francis Edward Louis Ritchie and Ivy May Ritchie of Parkes, NSW. On the CWGC website it state he was a Champion bugler and King's Scout

Prior to enlisting he was employed for 18 months as a Messenger Boy with Bennett & Wood Pty. Ltd and 2 years with Shell Company of Australia

School subjects passed - English, Math 1 & 2 but failed Frech, Science, History, Geography

Sports played - Surf Lifesaving, Surfboat Racing, Football, Swimming, Fours rowing

Plane was a Sunderland JM707

Also served two and a half years in the Militia in the 41 Battalion
