Flying Officer Robinson 405327 of 75SQN was killed when Kittyhawk A29-1029 was shot down near Wasile Pier on Halmahera Island during a bombing and strafing attack - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Ambon Memorial
His loss is covered in the book “Seek and Strike - 75 Squadron RAAF 1942 - 2002” by David J. Wilson
