Avro Lancaster heavy bomber NG222

On 12 April 1945, Lancaster NG222 from 1654 HCU, took off on a training-air-to-sea firing practice. The aircraft flew into the sea North of Spurn Head with the loss of all crew. No bodies were recovered and the crew is commemorated on the Runnymede memorial.
