AIRCRAFTMAN KILLED.
MELBOURNE, Dec 1.—LAC Russell Neil Ross, of Holbrook, NSW, a trainee-pilot, was killed on Sunday when an aircraft from an RAAF station in NSW crashed while on a solo training  flight.

Young Holbrook Airman Killed
LAC Russell Neil Ross, elder son of Mr and Mrs Neil Ross, "Stonehaven," Holbrook, was killed in training operations at a southern training station on Monday. He had lately gained  his wings and was flying solo. In gaining his wings he realised an ambition for which he had worked even while still at school. He was educated mainly at Knox Grammar School,  Sydney, but for a short time was a student at Albury Grammar School. About nine months ago he left school and passed directly into the air force. There are three sisters and a  younger brother. Funeral will take place in Deniliquin at 11 o'clock this morning.
