Albert Edward Hurne
Albert Edward was one of eight children born to William James Hurne and Ann
Kenna in Collingwood Victoria on April 26 1877.
He first married Mabel Dobbin in 1902 but sadly she died two years later in 1904, and in 1908 he remarried Eleanor Olive Kempson and they had one son Oswald Edward who tragically died as a result of an accident aged 16 years.
Albert and Eleanor divorced in February 1912 when their only son was 7 years old.
Albert enlisted December 18 1914 and embarked from Melbourne on the Runic Feb 19th, 1915.
He died of wounds May 10 1915.
He is my great grandfather's brother.

Albert had a son, Oscar Albert Hurne, with a Mrs Eleanor O. Battersby of Victoria from whom he was divorced
