Husband of Gwen I. M. Rowe, of Elwood, Victoria whom he married in January 1941 shortley before embarking for Canada
His father is Lieutenant E H Rowe, of Elwood who served as a pilot in the last war.
Leading Aircraftman Herbert John Rowe 400489 was killed when Cessna T-50 Crane - Tail Number 7715 of 4SFTS RCAF crashed during solo night-flying practice
