William Golder SHILLINGLAW was born in Marrickville, Sydney on 3rd May, 1917

His parents were Thomas Anderson SHILLINGLAW & Helen Hay GOLDER who married in NSW in 1916

He enlisted as Air Crew with the RAAF in Sydney on 20th July, 1941

William died in a Flying Battle in Belgium on 22nd June, 1943 and is buried in a collective grave 4-5 in the Langdorp Churchyard in Belgium

Inscription on his headstone reads:

"His duty nobly done - fond remembrance of my dear son - at rest"
