Address at the time of enlisting was given as Boomley Camp, Dubbo, NSW.

Son of Patrick O'Meara and Mary O'Meara nee Kelly of Ballarat, Victoria however on enlisted he gave no next of kin.

Commenced return to Australia on 7 June 1918 aboard HT Essex disembarking on 1 August 1918

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

Post war he was involved with farming being in the employment of J. Clancy of Urangeline East, NSW and prior to that he had worked in the Gooramada Hotel, Gooramada, Victoria. He was a member of the Albury RSL which paid for his headstone
