Son of Thomas and Levenia Smith, of Saratoga, New South Wales, Australia.

The Leader joins with friends in extending to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith, of Rowley Farm, Belgravia, sincere sorrow in the loss of their son Noel Thomas Smith, who is reported to have been killed in a naval battle, off Crete on May 30. Noel was 19½ years or age, and had been attached to the Royal Australian Navy. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Aileen, and two brothers, Lionel and Laurence. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Gill, reside in McLachlan Street, Orange.
