Leading Aircraftman Smith 24414 - son of Herbert Percy and Mary Celia Smith of Ascot, Queensland
His final unit was Number 3 Embarkation Depot Sandgate, Brisbane having previously served in the Middle East with Number 3 Squadron RAAF
His headstone states “died of illness contracted in the Middle East”
