He was 30 and the son of Peter Kyan Sproule and Marie Serina Sproule; husband of Joyce Daphne Sproule, of Tamworth, New South Wales. He is remembered on the  Wesley College World War II Memorial, Ballinteer Road,  Dundrum, Dublin 16.
