EVER REMEMBERED. HIS DUTY FEARLESSLY AND NOBLY DONE
Last week, Mr. T. H. Stagg (Moe) was officially informed that his son (Flight-Sergeant John Leslie Stagg) was missing as the result of air operations on 31st December, 1944.
It is stated that he was known to be a member of the crew of a Lancaster aircraft—detailed to attack an enemy target in Germany—which failed to return to its base, presumably due to enemy action.
Residents of this district will join the Minister of Air and the Air Board in expressing sincere sympathy with the parents in their anxiety. They will look forward to hearing that the young airman is safe.
