Flight Sergeant Kevin Storer was on the teaching staff of the Education Department when he enlisted and was stationed at The Ringtail School in the Gypmie District.
On 25 May 1943 whilst participating in an Operational Flight from United Kingdom, the ex-member was killed in air operations, Port Holm Drive, Selby, Yorkshire, England.

In Air Crash
Mr. and Mrs. J. Storer, of Adelaide street received word yesterday that their youngest son F/Sergt. Bernard Kevin Storer (21), had been killed when a Halifax bomber, which was detailed for operations, struck the spire of a church and crashed near Port Holm Drive, Selby, Yorkshire.
The late F/S- Storer had been overseas for nearly 12 months and had taken part in some of the major operations over Europe. He was educated at the Christian Brothers' School, Maryborough. At the time of his enlistment he was teaching at Ringtail State School.
Prior to that he was attached to the staff of the Maryborough Central School.
The late F-S. Storer is survived by two brothers, F/Sergt. Jack Storer who has seen service overseas and is now in Australia, and Mr. Roley Storer, who is on the staff of the Education Department. He is aleo survived by four sisters. Misses Phyllis and Kathleen Storer (Maryborough) and Mesdames P. Sengstock (Maryborough) ann A. Burns, Gatton).
