"Mrs J. B. Tarrant, 25 Prendergast st., Pascoevale, has now been notified that her husband, LAC John Brough Tarrant, lost his life as the result of a non-operational flight on August 7. LAC Tarrant was employed at the Elizabeth st. post-office before his enlistment. He was previously reported missing, believed killed." - from the Melbourne Argus 25 Sep 1943 (nla.gov.au)
