84 Squadron Armourer AC Robert George Thomas 139087 was killed in a Motor Vehicle Accident after he stole a jeep in Townsville and crashed en-route to Macrossan - another RAAF member involved was LAC Arthur Dick 77351 who received severe injuries (discharged January 1946 from Brisbane Medical Unit)
