Sid enlisted 28 Oct 1942 in Perth but had been living and working in Margaret River.
He held the rank of Private in the 2/23 Australian Infantry Battalion and died of wounds at Tarakan Borneo.
He is buried at the Labuan War Cemetery Malaysia Grave ref 24 C 2
