Sidney William Thompson
Born Donnybrook WA on 25 Sep 1922 to parents Lawrence Samuel and Silma Elizabeth Thompson.
Sid enlisted 28 Oct 1942 in Perth but had been living and working in Margaret River.
He held the rank of Private in the 2/23 Australian Infantry Battalion and died of wounds at Tarakan Borneo.
He is buried at the Labuan War Cemetery Malaysia Grave ref 24 C 2
