Captain Keith Belmore Tollis was the son of Captain Thomas William Tollis 33rd Battalion AIF who was killed in action on 22 August 1918. He was the only son of his widowed mother, Daisy May Tollis, and was four years old when his father died in WW1.
Keith Belmore Tollis was posthumously awarded a mention in despatches for “distinguished services in the South West Pacific Area”
His uncle, 3844 Pte. John Henry Tollis 1st Battalion AIF, was also killed in action at Pozieres in 1916.
Keith was married to Elsie Lillian and left two young children when he died.
