Biography contributed by Glenn Piggott

Albert was my grandfathers brother and grew up in Australind, near Bunbury WA. Part of a large family he was survived by tem siblings who went on to become one of the foundation families in the south west of WA.

Albert was killed on the 3rd of September 1916 in France.  He has no known grave.

My other great uncle on my mothers side, John Buckland was also killed in action and has no grave. He fell on the 7th of July 1917 in the Messines region in Belgium. The Buckland family is also very large in Western Australia.
