Clifton Webbe VERRAN was born in Auckland, New Zealand on 20th January, 1902

His parents were William VERRAN & Catherine Mary Louisa WEBBE who married in New Zealand in 1899

He married Vera Estelle WALLACE in New Zealand in 1926

His 2nd marriage was in Sydney on 16th March, 1940 to Cecilia Stewart Macdonald LAWRENCE 

Clifton spent 9 years in the New Zealand Military Force (Artillery) before he enlisted in July, 1941 as a Pilot Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force

He was discharged on medical grounds on 18th August, 1944 and died of Illness on 15th December, 1944

His last Rank was Flight Lieutenant with the 5 Aircraft Depot - he was with the 1 Air Observors School at Evans Head
