HE DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE
WILSON—In proud and loving memory of our dear son and brother, QX 12473 Private Bert Wilson, who died of wounds in New Guinea, 25th November, 1942. Aged 26 years.
Our country needed heroes, Bert
You answered with the rest
You helped to save Australia
You’re numbered with the best
While life lasts, we’ll remember
The day sad words did tell
How our dear son and brother
So nobly fought and fell.
