Stephen was educated at Henty, where his parents lived, before coming to the Scott's Creek district.
He helped his father on the their farm until he enlisted in July 1940.
He was the 2nd child of Clarrie & Alma Wilson & is survived by 8 siblings 2 of whom also served.-Boyce & a sister Joyce.
Stephen was born in Ararat - his father worked on the railways & moved around a lot- he had brown hair & brown eyes and abt 5'.8 tall.
