William Alfred Wood - Life
William Alfred Wood was born 18th August 1907 in Toronto, Canada to Alfred and Kathleen Elizabeth Charlotte Wood (Nee Honeybun).
In 1911 he was living at 6 Beresford Terrace, York, England with his parents and younger brother, Dennis Walfe. His father, Alfred, was employed as a Master Bricklayer.
On 29th February 1912, William, his parents, brother and baby sister, Kathleen, left London, England on the SS Gothic, Aberdeen Line for Sydney, Australia. Unfortunately, Kathleen died later in 1912 but his parents had 2 more children, Kathleen and Betty.
