Son of William Joseph George and Annie Eileen Woodbury, of Thornbury, Victoria.
Pilot of a Wirraway aircraft which crashed whilst engaged on a solo night training flight, two miles south east of Deniliquin at 9.50 pm on 1st December 1942. The cause of the accident was due to the inexperience of the airman in night flying. Aircraft A20/312 was damaged beyong repair.
