Flight Lieutenant Young 425802 RAAF and Flying Officer Rutledge 426164 RAAF of Number 1315 Transport Flight RAF were killed when Dakota KN344 crashed near Mount Lamuhara, New Guinea

Also killed was Flight Sergeant Kenneth Clement Bevan RAF 1140088 (has an NAA casualty file)
