Add my storyBiography contributed by Maurice Kissane
Robert was born in the Colony of Victoria in 1872. He was the son of LTCOL Robert Robertson and Johanna Kate Norton. He would have seen it as his duty to enlist and fight for Queen and Empire. He was good horseman but worked on a Station in Queensland. Hence he returned to Victoria to enlist in the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles. He was KIA but is memorilaized on a family grave headstone in Melbourne. Lest We Forget.
