Son of Bryan Vincent and Edna Mary SLATTERY

Private John Michael Slattery, of Sydney New South Wales, worked as a wool classer and public servant until he was called up on 19 April 1967. John Served with 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR).

Private John Michael Slattery was fatally wounded in action on 8 October 1968 - 23km north of Nui Dat. He was 22 years old.
