Private Eric Charles Bradford (Service No:QX37705) initally served in the ACMF (Trooper; Service No:Q104031) with 11 Motor Regiment from 20 December 1941 to 6 July 1942. On 7 July 1942 he enlisted in the AIF and served with 2nd/10th Infantry Battalion in New Guinea (9 August 1943 to 8 May 1944) and Borneo (29 May 1945 to 25 January 1946). Private Bradford was Discharged on 2 April 1946 - three of his brothers and a sister also served in WWII.

Born in 1918 at Tannymorel, Killarney on the Darling Downs in QLD, Eric was the sixth of nine children of Alfred Ernest Bradford (b1884 at Farm Creek, Tannymorel, QLD) and Nellie Maude Francis (b1883 in Warwick, QLD). Alfred (a Farmer) and Nellie married in 1909 and settled at Tannymorel where they raised their family and Alfred was a Farmer.

Eric worked as a Timber Cutter in Tannymorel before enlisting in the Army, and was again working as a Timber Cutter in Tannymorel in 1950 when he married Melba Louise Fletcher (b1923 in Killarney, QLD). Eric and Melba settled at Tannymorel where they raised their family and Eric was a Farmer. Melba died in 2003 and Eric in 2012.
