Clarence Anthony Etheridge ATKINSON was born on 28th June, 1892 in Collingwood, Victoria
His parents were John William ATKINSON and Sarah ETHERIDGE & he was one of 9 children
He had 2 years service in the Senior Cadets before he enlisted in Melbourne on 18th August, 1914 and embarked with the 4th Light Horse Regiment Headquarters on the ship Wiltshire on 19th October, 1914.
Clarence was Killed in Action on his 23rd Birthday on 28th June, 1915 at Gallipoli and is buried in Beach Cemetery - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
