Private Alexander Anderson (Service No:Q200654) enlisted in the ACMF on 19 October 1942 with 1 Battalion (QLD) VDC, and was attached to 3 Battalion (QLD) VDC at Discharge on 8 June 1945.

Alex was born in Clydebank, Dumbartonshire, Scotland in 1903, and was a Fitter in Glasgow when he immigrated in 1924. Alex arrived in Brisbane on board the Jervis Bay, and worked as a Lineman before securing employment in Brisbane as a Fitter. In 1932 in Brisbane, Alex married Daphne Thelma Stevenson (b1912 in Brisbane, QLD). Alex and Daphne settled at The Gap in Brisbane, where they raised their family and Alex worked as a Fitter until retirement. Daphne died in 1984 and Alex in 1999.
