1703 Private John Edwin Jamieson Snr age at time of enlistment was 51 year's. He had served in the Royal Victorian Navy from 1896-1911

He was the father of 1296 Private John Edwin Jamieson 8th Infantry Battalion killed in action at ANZAC Cove on 25th of April 1915 age 22.
