Christopher Cameron Dolman
Cameron Dolman was born at Alberton on the 20th April 1895. He worked as a gardener prior to enlisting in Adelaide on the 21st February 1916, when he was 20 years of age.
After disembarking at Plymouth on the 14th November 1916, Christopher Dolman was sent to France with the 50th Battalion of the A.I.F, arriving at Etaples on the 12th of December 1916. He was hospitalised with trench feet from the 2nd March to the 14th June 1917. On the 15th August 1917 he resumed duty in France where he was wounded in action, sustaining
a shrapnel wound to his leg on the 26 September 1917. Dolman rejoined the 50th Battalion on the 8th October 1917. He was a victim of mustard gas and wounded in action a second time on the 18th October 1917. This led to him being hospitalised in both France and England.
Dolman rejoined his unit on the 1st May 1918. After the cessation of hostilities he was sent to England in early February 1919 where he served as an Instructor with the Agricultural 2ag depot at Sutton Veny. On the 8th May 1919 Dolman made his return voyage to Australia on board the Devanha and was discharged on the 28th July 1919.
Christopher Cameron Dolman died on the 31st December 1986
