PRIVATE JACKSON.
Private Daniel Joseph Jackson, killed in action at the Dardanelles on July 5, was 27 years of age, and was born at Queanbeyan. He was reared and educated in Goulburn, from which city he enlisted. He was a bridge-builder, and was employed on the railway. He was a member of the 3rd Battalion (Infantry), and left Sydney about October. He had been at the Dardanelles about two months. He had a brother at the front, and some weeks ago he was reported wounded.
