Private Joseph Stanley Dobson (Service No:Q89501) served in the ACMF from 3 July 1941 to 31 October 1945 and was attached to 113 General Transport Coy at Discharge.

Born in 1914 in Brisbane QLD, Joseph was the eighth of eleven children of Joseph Dobson (b1875 in Brisbane, QLD) and Ida Lenette Dinte (b1879 in Brisbane, QLD). Joseph Snr (a Labourer) and Ida married in 1897 in Brisbane, QLD and lived in Hughenden, Bundaberg and Brisbane where Joseph Snr worked as a Labourer, Boot Clicker, Mill Hand and Bootmaker.

Joseph worked as a Labourer and Truck Driver in Brisbane, QLD and in 1937 married Joan Edna Robinson (b1916 in Brisbane, QLD). Joseph and Joan lived in Wynnum and Manly where Joseph was a Truck Driver, Shop Assistant, Dealer and Labourer. Joan died in 1966 and Joseph in 1994.
