"...3257 Private William James Archbold, 52nd Battalion, of Mackay, Qld. Formerly a farmer, Pte Archbold enlisted on 2 February 1916 and as a member of the 8th Reinforcements he embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Demosthenes (A64) on 23 December 1916.
