Lance Sergeant Vivian Frazer (Service Nos:QX43022/Q71975) first enlisted as a Private in the ACMF on 8 April 1941 and was a Corporal attached to 25th AASC when he enlisted 'in the field' in the AIF on 3 November 1942. Corporal Frazer served in New Guinea (21 January 1943 to 2 April 1944) and New Britain (22 May 1944 to 28 May 1945). He was promoted to Lance Sergeant in May 1945 and served with Supply Depot Coys - he was a Hygeine Instructor in 1945, and was hospitalised with Malaria. Lance Sergeant Frazer was Discharged on 28 November 1945. Brother Ronald (Service No:QX16820) Died of Wounds in New Guinea and half brother Raymond James Munt (Service No:170168) also served in WWII. Step Father James Edward Munt MM (Service No:5426) served in WWI.

Born in 1914 in Childers QLD, Viv was the youngest of three children of John Frazer (b1886 in Dalby, QLD) and Ellen (Nell) Alice Horton (b1889 in Yengarie, QLD). John (a Labourer) and Nell married in 1911 in Maryborough QLD and lived in Childers. Following John's death in Sydney in 1914, Nell moved to Dallarnil, Biggenden QLD and in 1921 remarried James Edward Munt. Nell and James had a son, and the family lived in Biggenden and Bundaberg QLD.

Viv started work as a Labourer in Dallarnil, Biggenden QLD and was a Labourer in Bundaberg when he enlisted in the ACMF. In 1941 in Gladstone QLD Viv married Joan Griffin (b1920 in Gin Gin, QLD). Viv and Joan settled in Bundaberg, QLD where Viv worked as a Shop Assistant and Labourer. Viv died in 2004 and Joan in 2016.
