Personal Stories
Lest we Forget.
Bill was a Rat of Tobruk, and later fought in the New Guinea campaigns (Salamaua).
He would speak only sparingly of his war service, and he never marched on Anzac Day. After his death his medals were gifted to his wife’s nephew - still in the original boxes, with the campaign ribbons unattached.
