MR. A. J. BATTY
A resident of Orange for more than 40 years, Mr. Alfred James Batty died at the Base Hospital on Friday night, aged 64 years. A member of the 3rd Battalion AIF, in World War 1, Mr. Batty had been a sufferer from war disabilities for a number of years.
He was a native of King's Plains, but the greater part of his life was spent in the Orange district, and in recent years, he had been residing at Orange.
He is survived by his wife, five sons and one daughter: Messrs Percy, Henry, Fred (Orange), Alfred and Raymond Batty (Sydney), and Lancel (Mrs. Bishop, Orange). The remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the Orange cemetery on Sunday.
