Mr. Robert Shepherd Gordon, well known in Proserpine district sugar circles, died in Townsville on Friday night, at the age of 57. Mr. Gordon was born at Guthalungra and spent the whole of his life in the Bowen district, except for a period of overseas service with the A.I.F. in World War 1. He was particulary well known in Cannon Valley, where he had sugar interests for many years. He is survived by his widow. The funeral takes place in Proserpine today.
