Parents: - Donald Ogilvie Grant and Dorothy Eade married, 14th July 1914 at the Methodist Church, Townsville, Queensland, Australia.

Fate: - On 20th December 1943, 1638 hrs,  Flight Sergeant David Charles Grant (Rear Tail Gunner) aboard Halifax II HX186, of 10th Squadron, RAF took off from air base Melbourne. The aircraft failed to return from its mission over Germany, where it was shot down in an air battle, of those killed three are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial while Sergeant Rochecouste from Quatre Bornes on Mauritius is buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery.
