Kenneth was the eldest son of William Francis Greisbach (b1894 in Ipswich, QLD) and Nora Pearl Harris (b1897 in Cobar, NSW). William - a Miner - and Nora married in 1916 in Ipswich, QLD where they settled and raised their family.

Kenneth was a Miner in Ipswich QLD when he enlisted in the Australian Army in January 1942. He served (Private; Service No:QX28833) with 47th Infantry Battalion in New Guinea and was Discharged in December 1944. Brothers William Francis (Private; Service No:QX7033 - PoW Germans) and Stanley (Private; Service No:QX8902 - PoW Japanese) served in WWII.

Following his Discharge, Kenneth returned to Ipswich where he was a Miner when he married Ellen Fanny Vogel (b1916 in Marburg, QLD) in 1945. Kenneth and Ellen settled in Ipswich where Kenneth was a Miner before retiring to Scarborough in 1977. Fanny died in 1989 and Kenneth in 2003.
