Private Allan Cuthbert Edward Harris (Service No:QX38672) served in the AIF from 15 April 1942 to 17 December 1942 (Medically Unfit).
Allan was born in Brisbane QLD in 1909, youngest of two children (sons) of David Cuthbert Harris (b1883 in Bundaberg, QLD) and Ruby Jane Edward (b1887 in Brisbane, QLD). David and Ruby married in 1906 in Brisbane, where they settled and raised their family and David worked as a Packer and Clerk.
Allan worked in Brisbane as a Clerk, and in 1934 married Margaret Emily Strachan (b1913 in Brisbane, QLD). Allan and Margaret settled in Brisbane, where they raised their family and Allan worked as Assistant Manager and Company Manager for a wholesale bicycle company. Margaret died in 1959, and Allan was in New Zealand in 1968 when he died.
